The Workshops at the 2013 NADA/ATD Convention & Expo are brought to you by NADA University.  At the 2013 ATD Convention & Expo you have the opportunity to select from 9 topics for a total of 16 sessions.


Workshops are available to those in the Dealer, Manager or Allied w/Workshop registration categories.

Workshops are seated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no additional registration and no sign-up for the workshops.


Please note that ATD Dealers, Managers and Allied w/ Workshop are also welcome to attend the NADA Workshops.


Executive Leadership Track

TRACK SUMMARY: Executive Leadership contains education solutions exclusively for the executive suite. Workshops range from legal and regulatory matters, to managing multiple locations, tax and succession planning, fraud prevention, etc. Though all other spokes are available to the Executive/Dealer, dealership personnel below executive level do not have access to the training in this spoke unless permitted by the Executive/Dealer

    Managing Your Resources

TRACK SUMMARY: Managing Your Resources contains the training that is appropriate for senior management. The Management spoke includes some of the material available to the Executive/Dealer, plus such hands-on training as cash management, improving business momentum, etc.



Medium-Duty Track explores how all areas of your medium-duty operations need to work together to increase sales and profits. Workshops in this track range from best practices for marketing medium-duty trucks to providing quality service to customers.

Build a Truck-Dealership Group


This workshop will provide you with information and tools to expand your dealership operations to include multiple locations, in a strategically sound way. Creating a group with the exit strategy in mind more clearly delineates the path of best practices along the way. Advantages, challenges, specific tax concerns, implementation ideas, and considerations for an exit strategy will be covered. Owners of existing groups may benefit from a mid-course checkup for their truck operations.

Health Care 2013 New Taxes and Mandates:  Now What?

How to Remain FET-Compliant and Avoid Pitfalls


Gather need-to-know information to keep you in compliance with your Federal Excise Tax-reporting responsibilities.
